photography
When I was doing foundation year at School of Visual Arts, my photographer teacher strongly lobbied for me to major in that, rather than graphic design. First of all, it was lovely to not be an outright failure - my painting, drawing, and sculpture skills were negligible at best, so being acknowledged was an ego boost. In the end, I went the design route but I think photography is remarkably similar. It's about having an eye for composition, placement and memorializing moments in a way that resonates. Instagram has been a great outlet to capture those. Check out my feed or some of my favorites that I've posted below. Flowers in NYC seems to be my favorite subject matter these days.
